April 26, Fineko/abc.az. Today, the 2nd international cooperation forum ‘One Belt - One Road’ has started in Beijing.

The delegation led by President Ilham Aliyev is taking part in the event.

The forum is attended by 37 heads of state and government, heads of international organizations.

Addressing to the opening ceremony, Chinese President Xi Jinping stated that project ‘One Belt - One Road’ also covers bilateral, trilateral and multilateral cooperation between the countries. He stressed that this initiative, which is of particular importance in the economic, trade, financial and other spheres, supports the formation of new values on the ancient Silk Road, reduces the negative impact of globalization on the economy. This project has played an important role in the international transport of goods and thus increased national revenues and contributed to regional development.

The Chinese leader said that initiative ‘One Belt - One Road’ was supported by 150 countries, including a range of influential international organizations.
