April 30, Fineko/abc.az. The European Bank for Reconstruction & Development (EBRD) has approved the strategy on Azerbaijan for 2019-24.

The Baku-based EBRD office reports that the main priority of the strategy is the differentiation of the economy.

"In particular, the strategy implies supporting the development of the private and public sector, strengthening the management of private and public companies, stimulating lending to banking and non-banking organizations, promoting to the development of local currency and capital markets, supporting the "green" economy, including the sphere of renewable energy, eco-friendly transport and infrastructure," the EBRD office said.

The EBRD is a leading investor in Azerbaijan and to date has allocated about 3.3 billion euro in the energy, banking, infrastructure, industrial and commercial sectors.
