SOCAR-AQS starts drilling a new well in shallow water Gunashli

November 28, Fineko/abc.az. Socar-AQS LLC, a joint venture of Socar and Absheron Drilling Company established in 2007, has started to drill the new well 324 from the offshore platform No 7 in the Shallow-Water Guneshli planning to tap the 10th horizon of the Balakhani Suite at the depth of 2,750 m for Socar’s Azneft.

SWG accounts for nearly 65% of all oil that Socar produces.

Socar-AQS is drilling from the platforms 11 and 7 in SWG, from the Umid-1 platform in the Umid field, from the platform 6 in the Bulla field and from the platform 20 in the West Absheron field.
