Over 8 million tons of crude oil exported via BTC in Q1

May 13, Fineko/abc.az. In the 1st quarter operating costs of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline amounted to about $25 million and capital costs about $6 million.

By the end of Q1 of 2019 about 425 million tons (about 3.2 bn barrels) of crude oil were transported via this pipeline, loaded into 4 159 tankers in Ceyhan and sent to world markets.

During the first quarter more than 8 million tons (about 61 million barrels) of crude oil were exported via BTC, and this oil was loaded on 74 tankers in Ceyhan.
