Finance Minister: U.S. has invested $13.6 bn in Azerbaijani economy

May 17, Fineko/abc.az. The 4th session of the Azerbaijani-American Commission on Economic Cooperation is taking place in Baku after a seven-year break.

During the meeting Azerbaijani Finance Minister Samir Sharifov voice a hope for the regularity of such meetings.

"So far the U.S. has invested $13.6 bn in Azerbaijan's economy, and Azerbaijan $8.2 bn in the US economy. Last year the U.S. exported goods to Azerbaijan for $530 million and imported goods for $330 million," the minister said. He also pointed out that those figures could be even higher and that cooperation should be broadened.
