In May SOFAZ sold currency by 16.8% less than in April

June 3, Fineko/abc.az. The State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) keeps transparency of its foreign currency sales in the local market.

According to SOFAZ, in May 2019 they sold $352.4 million at currency auctions that is by 16.8% less than in April.

In April SOFAZ sold foreign currency for $423.7 million, in March for $600.5 million, in February for $316.2 million and in January for $634.9 million.

In just 5 months of 2019 SOFAZ sold currency for $2.327 bn at auctions. The figure reached $6.46 bn in 2018 and $3.597 bn in 2017.
