June 12, Fineko/abc.az. Compared with 2018, the insurance market of Azerbaijan has developed, but restrictions on life insurance constrain the dynamics in this area, insurance expert Ilkin Ibrahimov says.

"Despite the restrictions, the use of some factors indicates that we will be able to achieve greater development in the transition to compulsory health insurance and agricultural insurance," the expert thinks.

According to Ibrahimov, the development observed in the premiums cannot be attributed to insurance payments.

"Problems and red tape in payments still remain. In particular, the issue of property insurance payments remains a problem. These problems must be eliminated. I’m sure after that this sector will develop even more," the expert believes.
