June 20, Fineko/abc.az. One of the most important types of insurance in the world is real estate insurance.

Unfortunately, this type of insurance is not sufficiently developed in Azerbaijan.

What is the cause that property insurance does not develop?

Insurance expert Goshgar Shekeraliyev says that the mechanism of control should be improved first in order to promote to this type of insurance.

According to the expert, currently compulsory insurance of apartments is carried out only in case of transactions of purchase and sale of property.

"It is not carried out in other operations. In addition to the control mechanism, penalties should be tightened in cases of uninsured property (restrictions on public utility services, restrictions on activities, etc.)," the expert believes.
