Oil prices jump amid tension in Middle East

June 21, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijani oil Azeri Light has grown in price by $2.24 (3.5%) up to $65.71 a barrel.

After a sharp jump a day before amid increased tension in the Middle East the oil prices decline a little on Friday.

Following the 20 June trading at the London ICE (InterContinental Exchange Futures; ICE Futures) the price of August’s futures of Brent oil grew by $2.63 (4.25%) up to $64.45 a barrel.

The Brent oil declined in price by $0.18 (0.28%) to $64.27 a barrel by 9:10 am on Friday.

Following Thursday's trading at the New York Merchant Exchange (NYMEX), the WTI oil futures for August jumped in price by $3.10 (5.74%) up to $57.07 a barrel.

In Friday’s trading the cost of WTI oil futures for July reduced in price by $0.26 (0.46%) to $56.81 a barrel by 9:10 am.
