Over 90% of all capital investments in Azerbaijani economy account for Baku

December 5, Fineko/abc.az. The fixed capital investments on Baku totaled AZN 11.3 bn for Jan-Oct 2017.

The Baku Statistics Department reports that investments in fixed capital in Azerbaijan over the first 10 months of 2017 reached AZN 12.536 bn. Thus, 90.2% of all capital investments in the country account for the capital of Azerbaijan.

For Jan-Oct of the year AZN 8.046 bn (71.2%) out of total investments in Baku was directed for construction & assembling works.

The share of public investments made up AZN 3.729 bn (33%) and share of private ones AZN 7.459 bn (67%).

The Department also pointed out that 87.6% of all construction work was fulfilled by private companies.
