Azerbaijan`s foreign trade turnover exceeded $14 bn for Jan-May

July 15, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-May 2019 Azerbaijan’s foreign trade turnover amounted to $14.07 bn, including export for $8.24 bn and import for $5.8 bn, and as a result positive balance amounted to $2.405 bn.

The State Statistics Committee reports that compared with the same term of 2018 country’s foreign trade turnover on actual prices increased by 16.5%, including imports by 51.3% and export by 0.1%.

In real terms, the turnover grew by 6.8%, including import by 20.4% and export by 0.4%.

According to the Committee, 29.7% of export account for Italy, 11.4% for Turkey, 7% for China, 5.6% for India, 5.5% for Germany, 5.2% for Israel and 5% for Spain, 3.9% for Czech Republic, 3.4% for Georgia, 3.2% for Russia, 3% for France, 2.5% for Portugal and 14.6 per cent in other countries.

14.2% of the total value of goods imported in Azerbaijan accounts for Switzerland, 14% for Russia, 9.7% for Turkey, 8.3% for China, 6.6% for U.S., 4.8% for Germany, 4.6% for Iran, 3.6% for Canada, 3.5% for Australia, 3.1% for Ukraine, 2.7% for Italy, 2.1% for France, 2% for Kazakhstan, and 20.8% for other countries.
