July 22, Fineko/abc.az. A project of the issue of futures for trade has been launched at the Baku Stock Exchange (BSE).

The BSE reports that the project is also supported by the Financial Market Supervision Authority.

The main advantage of the issue of futures derivatives through the exchange in standardized form is the creation of hedging opportunities for market participants trading in foreign exchange to manage and minimize currency risks.

Given that the reduction of currency risks in the financial markets is one of the main priorities, it is expected that the instruments of futures type will be in demand by investors, especially by banks. Along with hedging opportunities, trading in futures derivatives creates conditions for the formation of an additional source of income for investors.

Investors' interest in new futures-type instruments will lead to increased liquidity for trading on the stock exchange and more effective determination of market prices.
