July 31, Fineko/abc.az. The deposits of individuals amounted to AZN 8.63 bn for June 2019.

As a whole, the retail deposits grew 4.4% (AZN 364.1 million) for the first 6 months of the year. The growth was observed mainly due to demand deposits. Thus, the demand deposits increased by 18.1% (AZN 505.7 million) for the 1st half of 2019.

This information is reflected in the new indicators on the banking sector presented by the Financial Market Supervision Authority (FIMSA).

According to FIMSA’s report, although the deposits of legal entities in the 1st half of the year decreased by 1.1% (AZN 114.1 million), term deposits increased by 55.4% (AZN 803.5 million) and reached AZN 2.25 bn. The balance capital of the sector grew by 13% (AZN 527.8 million) for the 1st half-year of 2019 up to AZN 4.599 bn.
