August 5, Fineko/abc.az. In July AzerGold produced a record amount of gold for this year.

Azergold informs that it was extracted 5,495 ounces of gold during the reporting period (23% of the target) and 10,995 ounces of silver (41%). Ore grinding made 130,810 tons (31% above the target) - a record for the entire period of Company's activity.

Along with optimization of the current production process and reduction of prime cost of production of precious metals, AzerGold successfully continues exploration of new fields of non-ferrous metals.

So, exploration drilling works on 7,285 m were carried out in July, and by the end of 2019 it is planned to bring this figure up to 40,000 m. The exploration program envisages an increase in surface and underground reserves of Chovdar field, drilling and confirmation of reserves in the areas of Agyokhush, Merek and Tulallar, prospective for gold and silver, as well as the assessment of reserves for polymetallic field Filizchay in accordance with international standards.
