Parviz Shahbazov: Over 2.5 billion cubic meters of natural gas exported to Turkey via the TANAP pipeline

September 19, Fineko/abc.az. To date, over 2.5 billion cubic meters of natural gas have been exported to Turkey via the TANAP pipeline. And the project was completed at the level of 99.9%, Energy Minister Parviz Shakhbazov said at a press conference on the 25th anniversary of the Contract of the Century.

The Minister noted that the TANAP gas pipeline was commissioned on June 12 last year in the Turkish city of Eskisheher. The transportation of the first volumes of gas to Turkey began on June 30 of the same year, as planned. Since July 1 of this year, the TANAP pipeline has been alerted for the transportation of natural gas to Europe. The current pipeline capacity is currently 16 billion cubic meters, and then it is planned to increase it to 31 billion cubic meters.
