September 25, Fineko/abc.az. It is gratifying that Azerbaijan has switched to a policy of diversifying its economy. We are very pleased that there are achievements in our economy. True, it’s too early to talk about it, but the sprouts of the conducted works are already perceptable, ABC.AZ reports citing the official representative of the Swiss State Secretary for Economic Affairs, Hans Peter Lankes. Lankes spoke at an event dedicated to the completion of the IFC (International Finance Corporation) project dedicated to the completion of the financial infrastructure project of Azerbaijan and Central Asia.

He noted that it was no coincidence in the World Bank’s last year’s report that Azerbaijan was the most reforming country: “Azerbaijan carried out exactly 8 economic reforms. In fact, this is a step designed for the sustainability of small and medium-sized enterprises. As you know, the International Finance Corporation cooperates with Azerbaijan, and we have provided financial assistance in the amount of $500 million here.”
