October 9, Fineko/abc.az. Narional water operator Azersu’s chairman Gorkhmaz Huseynov has held a meeting with Zacharie Gross, the French ambassador to Azerbaijan.

Stressing during the meeting France’s large experience in the water supply and sanitation sector, Azersu’s chair pointed out that the French government and companies are involved in drinking water and sanitation projects in Azerbaijan.

It was noted that in 2006-2009, the Govsan aeration station was reconstructed at the expense of a loan from the French government. Within the framework of the agreement signed with SUEZ on practical training, transfer of know-how and technical assistance, activities and FASEP project were implemented within the grant program of the Ministry of Economy of France were successfully implemented. Given that the current projects focus on the introduction of new technologies, the exchange of experience in this area is of importance.

Ambassador Zacharie Gross highly appreciated the infrastructure projects implemented by French companies in Azerbaijan and noted that they will contribute to cooperation in the application of new technologies.
