October 15, Fineko/abc.az. From 15 October the production from Western Chirag platform has been suspended for almost 15 days.

The reported reason is the effective conduct of inspection and design work on the platform. The program includes various design work, such as updating of the torch and control systems.

This operation is included in the annual working program Azeri-Chirag-Deepwater Gunashli (ACG), budget and production plan.

The production from other platforms on the ACG field (Central Azeri, West Azeri, East Azeri, Chirag and Deepwater Gunashli) and platforms Shah Deniz Alpha and Shah Deniz Bravo, located on the Shah Deniz field, the operations at the Sangachal Terminal and export operations via pipelines Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan and the South Caucasus will be continued as usual.
