October 18, Fineko/abc.az. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with US Vice President Mike Pence yesterday.

During the meeting the parties agreed about the temporary suspension of Turkey's operations against PKK and YPG (People's Self-Defense Units (Kurd. Yekîneyên Parastina Gel) in Syria.

ABC.AZ reports that immediately after the agreement had been reached, the US dollar became cheaper in Turkey. So, yesterday the Turkish lira rose more than by 1%.

Experts point out that the only cause of the US dollar depreciation to the Turkish lira more than by 2% is the US agreement with Turkey and the suspension of Ankara's official operations in Syria. It should be noted that after this agreement, the dollar's decline to the lira is expected to continue for several days.
