October 25, Fineko/abc.az. The World Bank has published report Doing Business 2020 that given all-round analysis of world’s economies, particularly business and investment environment.

ABC.AZ with reference to the Financial Market Supervision Authority informs that according to the WB report, Azerbaijan is occupying high positions as well as last year.

Thus, Azerbaijan ranks 34th position among 190 countries, and as a result of improved access to credit, property registration, investor rights and investment relations in other areas, this year it entered in Top 20 of the most reformist countries.

It is gladdening that according to Doing Business 2020, our country achieved the highest result on the indicator of obtaining loans and rose from the 22nd position last year up to the 1st place among 190 countries. In particular, it should be noted that the creation of the State Register of Encumbrances of Movable Property and the Private Credit Bureau, as well as amendments and simplifications to the Law and the Civil Code of Azerbaijan "On encumbrances of movable property" condition this result.

At the same time, on terms of the start of business, our country, repeating the position of last year, occupies the 9th place and in terms of contract performance from the 40th to the 28th place. It should be noted that Azerbaijan took 59th place in obtaining construction permits, 40th place in paying taxes, 44th place in registering property, 47th place in the indicator of bankruptcy resolution, 80th place in connecting to electricity networks, 83rd place in border trade.
