Compulsory Health Insurance Agency suffers losses

October 31, Fineko/abc.az. The State Agency for Compulsory Health Insurance finished with loss the last year.

ABC.AZ informs that it is shown in Agency’s financial statements.

According to SACHI’s report, the main operating income of the Agency is accumulated insurance premiums. The report says that the main cause of Agency’s loss is the absence of collection of insurance premiums for 2018 and required transfers to the State Budget. Last year’s earnings amounted to only AZN 1.543 million, including income received from medical services not covered by the basic envelope (envelope of exceptions), and the freed paid amounts. The report says that the cost of medical services of citizens of the pilot territories in 2018 amounted to AZN 30.34 million, general and administrative expenses of the Agency – AZN 11.306 million.

At the end of last year Agency’s authorized capital reached AZN 4 million and total capital AZN 70.536 million. SACHI’s assets amounted to 73.609 million, 85% of which are long-term. The Agency has not long-term liabilities and short-term liabilities amount to AZN 3.73 million.

The report was made by PwC Azerbaijan Ltd, a member of the ‘Big Four’ of the audit sector.
