November 14, Fineko/abc.az. The 2nd Baku Summit of World Religious Leaders started in Baku on 14 November.

The summit is attended by President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva.

Political, public, scientific and religious figures of various countries, representatives of international organizations, leaders of religious confessions and movements take part in the summit, which is held within the framework of the anniversary events dedicated to the 70th birth anniversary Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade.

The two-day summit will focus on the themes as follows: "Exemplary role of the Azerbaijani state in promoting multiculturalism, tolerance & interreligious solidarity", "Religious leaders against terrorism, aggression, xenophobia, Islamophobia, anti-Semitism and Christianophobia", "Protection of the rights of women and children, the importance of joint activities of religious leaders, state, scientific & public figures in educating young people".
