December 19, Fineko/abc.az. The foundation of the Astrakhan business center has been laid today in Baku with participation of Astrakhan Oblast’s governor Alexander Zhilkin.

During the foundation laying ceremony President’s aide for public-political issues Ali Hasanov has stated that Azerbaijan and Astrakhan have long trade, economic and humanitarian ties.

"The business center will be a new impetus for cooperation," he stressed.

"The center will serve to strengthening trade and economic relations between countries, including between their different districts. Construction of an Azerbaijan business center in Astrakhan will also promote to the creation of a logistics hub and expansion of relations between businessmen," Zhilkin emphasized.

The total floorspace of the Astrakhan business center will be 5,000 sq m. In addition to conditions for organizing trade shows and conferences, the 5-floor multifunctional building of the centre will have a mini hotel, office rooms and a fitness room.
