December 18, Fineko/abc.az. The volume of loans given in Azerbaijan in 2019 has been published.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Central Bank that as of 1 November 2019 the loan portfolio of banks and other credit institutions of the country in the national currency amounted to AZN 14.445 bn. The long-term loans totaled AZN 11.758 bn of this amount. The amount of overdue loans made up 9.6% of the total loan portfolio.

The amount of population’s deposits at banks in the equivalent of the national currency as of 1 November 2019 amounted to AZN 8.811 bn. Over Jan-Nov 2019 the average exchange rate of the national currency to the US dollar was 1.70 manats, 1 euro - 1.91 manats, and 100 Russian rubles - 2.62 manats. For Jan-Oct 2019 the population increased by 71,688 people or 0.7% and reached 10,053,145 people as of 1 November 2019.
