January 24, Fineko/abc.az. The European Central Bank has unveiled its interest rates.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to foreign media that at the first meeting of 2020 ECB left the interest rates unchanged.

Thus, the monetary policy remained at zero level, the deposit rate stays at

-0.5%, and the rate on margin loans at 0.25%. The ECB has announced that rates will remain at the current level or lower until inflation in the Eurozone approaches the Central Bank's target.

At the same time, it was noted that the bond buyback program launched in November will continue and end shortly before the ECB decides to raise the rate.

Experts say that the decisions coincided with market expectations and it was obvious that ECB would not change interest rates.
