Oil prices switch to rise after falling, Azeri Light falls by $1

January 31, Fineko/abc.az. Oil prices of standard grades are rising in today's auction, after falling the day before, but, nevertheless, oil prices end January with the most significant drop since May 2019.

Following the trading on 30 January at the London ICE Futures Exchange, March’s Brent oil futures fell in price by $1.52 (2.54%) to $58.29 per barrel. By 9:15 am on Friday Brent futures grew by $1.16 (1.99%) up to $59.45 per barrel.

Following the trading on 30 January at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX), March’s WTI futures fell by $1.19 (2.23%) to $52.14 per barrel. By 9:15 am WTI futures increased by $1.14 (2.19%) up to $53.28 per barrel.

In January, Brent fell by 10% and WTI fell by 13%.

Azerbaijani oil Azeri Light fell in price by $1.07 (1.66%) up to 63.35 per barrel.
