January 31, Fineko/abc.az. Time spent on border processes in Azerbaijan has been reduced 3-fold.

ABC.AZ reports that the relevant statement was made by first deputy chairman of the State Customs Committee Ismayil Huseynov.

He pointed out that the reduction in time was achieved to the introduction of a number of innovations and technologies. If earlier 250 trucks passed through customs and border checkpoints daily, now this figure has been brought to 600.

According to Huseynov, all this is an important factor for accelerating international trade and transit operations.

It should be noted that the structure provided for the collection of AZN 4.408 bn instead of the budget obligations for AZN 3.7 bn envisaged for 2019, and the forecast was fulfilled by 119.1%. In addition, as a result of the Green Corridor, 530 foreign trade participants have already been able to use this system in both imports and exports. As a whole, $8 billion of foreign trade is accounted for business entities that use the Green Corridor system.
