February 21, Fineko/abc.az. Since the beginning of its activity Azercell has AZN 1.845 bn to the State Budget.

ABC.AZ reports that the above-mentioned statement was made by Company’s head Vahid Mursaliyev at the reporting conference.

He noted that one of the largest projects implemented by Azercell in 2019 was the introduction of 4G technology. According to Mursaliyev, last year 1,217 new 4G stations were installed on the territory of the country, that required huge efforts and finances.

Mursaliyev underlined that despite this, Azercell successfully completed this work for customer satisfaction. At the same time, in order to enter further the era of digitalization, the Company applied 5G technology in Azerbaijan for the first time in the Caucasus.

"5G technology is an economical platform. Since November we’ve made this technology free of charge in Azerbaijan. The introduction of 5G technology in Azerbaijan has also increased our reputation. This technology will be applied in the future with our help throughout Azerbaijan," he emphasized.
