February 24, Fineko/abc.az. As a result of the spread of the coronavirus and the negative impact of various geopolitical factors, the increase in gold prices at world markets will bring additional profit to AzerGold.

ABC.AZ reports that the above-said statement was made by AzerGold’s chairman Zakir Ibragimov at a press conference devoted to the results of 2019 and the upcoming tasks.

The chair noted that currently the spread of the coronavirus epidemic and various geopolitical processes have led to an increase in gold prices.

Ibragimov said that when forming the budget for this year, a different price scenario is envisaged.

"However, gold prices at world markets currently exceed the prices provided by AzerGold, and this can create additional profit for the gold producer," the chair added.
