Another station of Baku metro to close for repairs in 2018

December 28, Fineko/abc.az. The Baku Metro Company is about to close another station for capital repairs after the closure of metro station Sahil.

BMC spokesman Nasimi Pashayev has stated that they plan to close metro station Khatayi for the renovation in the forthcoming year.

"The station was commissioned in 1968 and escalators of the station were installed in the same year. The 50-year period of their operation will expire next year, and that is why a decision was made to close the Khatayi station for repairs," Pashayev said.

He underlined that repairs of the Khatayi station will begin in the summer, after repairs at the Sahil station is finished.
