ABC.AZ reports that the above-said statement was made by VTB Azerbaijan’s chairman of board Yevgeny Kirin at a press conference dedicated to Bank's activity for 2019.

He noted that the Bank finished the past year with profit of AZN 4.8 million. Kirin pointed out that Bank's net interest income for 2019 amounted to AZN 3.8 million. At the same time, Bank's net commission income also increased.

Thus, in 2019 Bank's net profit amounted to AZN 1.2 million (by AZN 400,000 or 54% more against 2018): "Last year VTB Bank’s capital amounted to AZN 58 million that is by 9% more against early 2019. Bank's operating profit for the reported period totaled AZN 6.5 million. The adequacy of Bank's capital in accordance with Central Bank’s requirements made up 58.5%."
