March 31, Fineko/abc.az. The volume of currency Azerbaijan received in 2019 exceeded the outgoing amount. Thus, last year’s total balance of payments of Azerbaijan reached $5.143 bn.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to Central Bank's statistics that in 2019 the balance of payments was affected by favorable oil prices, the growth of non-oil exports and positive trends in the movement of capital and finance. For this period the surplus in current operating balances reached $4.4 bn, and in the balance of capital and finance - $100 million.

For comparison, the balance of payments in 2018 amounted to $3.508 bn. Thus, the total balance of Azerbaijan's balance of payments grew by 46.6% for 2019.
