AtaBank and Amrahbank excluded from ADIF - their certificates revoked

May 1, Fineko/abc.az. In compliance with Central Bank Board’s decision from 28 April 2020 and in connection with the cancellation of banking licenses of AtaBank (a member of the Azerbaijan Deposit Insurance Fund in Register #2 since 30 July 2007) and Amrahbank (a member of the ADIF in Register #26 since 30 July 2007), the two closed banks have been excluded from the ADIF member banks’ register from 1 May 2020 in accord with Article 22.3.1 of the Law on Deposit Insurance, and their certificates were cancelled.

ABC.AZ reports that the above-mentioned official statement was made the ADIF.

By relevant decisions from 27 April 2020 the Central Bank’s Board appointed temporary administrators for AtaBank, AGBank, NBCBank and Amrah Bank. The banking licenses of AtaBank and Amrah Bank were canceled on 28 April.
