Insurers in Azerbaijan refuse to insure public transport buses

January 11, Fineko/abc.az. The state of Baku buses and facts of fraud have become the cause of refusal of their insurance by insurance companies.

Rovshan Askerov, the head of the Standard Insurance’s Sales Department, says that starting from this year insurers refused to insure such buses.

"The level of loss on this type of insurance has grown up to 85-90% as carrier companies insure only half of their buses, and in case of insurance event with uninsured buses try to get compensation payments by changing the numbers of vehicles," Askerov said.
