May 5, Fineko/abc.az. On 5 May SOCAR president Rovnag Abdullayev visited the Umid-1 platform on Umid field, where he inspected major repairs and reconstruction and started drilling a new well.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to SOCAR that the head of the company was informed that in order to accelerate production at the Umid field, it is planned to drill two additional wells from the Umid-1 platform.

In connection with the drilling of new wells on the platform, reconstruction works were carried out, production capacity was increased, and it is planned to increase gas production from 2.4 million cu m up to 6.6 million cu m a day.

With the participation of the SOCAR president, drilling of a new production well on the Umid-1 platform was launched. The design depth of the well is 6,270 m, and production is 1.5-2 million cu m of gas per day. After commissioning of the well, it is expected to increase gas production from the Umid field from 3-3.5 million cu m up to 4.5-5 million cu m per day.
