Central Bank held a currency auction for banks

May 12, Fineko/abc.az. The Central Bank of Azerbaijan has conducted a currency auction with the participation of the State Oil Fund.

According to the CBA, $47.9 million was sold to banks at the currency auction on 12 May.

"The demand from banks at the currency auction amounted to $47.9 million and was fully ensured," the CBA said in a statement.

At the end of the auction the average weighted exchange rate of the manat to the US dollar was AZN 1.70.
