May 12, Fineko/abc.az. Based on the changes made by Presidential Decree #1016 from 7 May 2020 to the Rules for giving mortgage loans, including subsidized mortgage loans, at the expense of financing of the Mortgage & Credit Guarantee Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan, one of the existing categories of citizens entitled to subsidized mortgage loans and preferential housing at the disposal of the State Housing Construction Agency (MIDA) has been expanded and a new category added.

According to data ABC.AZ received from MIDA, the existing category "person who has worked as a teacher in a state secondary school for at least 5 years” is expanded and designated as “persons who have worked as a teacher in a state secondary school for at least 3 years”.

According to the relevant changes, the length of service of teachers who are members of a young family (a young family is a family formed from the marriage of persons under 35 years of age, as well as a single parent who is under 35 years of age and has at least one child under his care) will be reduced from 5 to 3 years, and not only teachers working in secondary schools, but also teachers who are members of a young family working in other educational institutions will be able to receive housing at a discount.
