May 13, Fineko/abc.az. Investigation is underway in connection with the fire that broke out at 11 pm on 11 May in a shopping center owned by Eurohome LLC, located in the Binagadi district of the Azerbaijani capital.

ABC.AZ was informed at the press service of the General Prosecutor’s Office, after extinguishing the fire on the instructions of Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev, the case was transferred to the GPO Grave Crime Investigation Department.

Currently, necessary and urgent investigative measures are underway to establish the causes of the accident in the case of damage to businesses, as well as bringing to responsibility of persons guilty in committing a crime.

It should be noted that property owned by 128 people burned as a result of the fire that occurred at the shopping center on 10 December 2019. It has been compensated AZN 13.796 million out of AZN 17.46 million for material damage to the citizens.

Due to the fact that both fires occurred in the shopping center located on the same territory owned by Eurohome LLC, the criminal investigation continues in a single proceeding in the Grave Crime Investigation Department.
