President Ilham Aliyev: nonoil economy increased by 2.5% firts time for past 9 months

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has chaired the Cabinet Ministers’ meeting on results of socioeconomic development for the last 9 months.

In the course of the meeting the head of state stated that for Jan-Sept the nonoil sector grew by 2.5%.

"The growth in the nonoil industry made up 3.1%, agriculture 2.8%, foreign trade turnover 7%. Country's currency reserves totaled $42 bn. We think about long-term sustainable development and increase of foreign reserves by $4.5 bn is the most successful figure," the country’s leader emphasized.

He pointed out that 226,000 jobs were created over Jan-Sept.
