Special quarantine regime extended in Azerbaijan

June 10, Fineko/abc.az. Taking into account the dynamics of the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection in recent days, a decision was made to extend the special quarantine regime in Azerbaijan until 00:00 on 1 July 2020.

According to the Operational Staff, until today COVID-19 has been detected in 8,191 people. Currently 3,487 patients continue to be treated in special-regime hospitals.

Also, by Operational Staff’s decision, strict quarantine regime will be applied from 00:00 on 14 June to 06:00 on 16 June in Baku, Ganja, Lankaran and Sumgait, as well as in Absheron, Yevlakh, Ismayilli, Kurdamir and Salyan districts, under which citizens will be prohibited from leaving their homes and apartments. At this time, all trade and service facilities and public transport will not work in these cities and districts, and the use of personal transport is prohibited. Citizens can only go out on the street with a special permit obtained by the Ministry of internal Affairs. These days, only housing and utilities facilities, a number of government agencies, oil and gas facilities and a number of other industries will be operating.
