ATAA chair pessimistic statement: Travel companies experience crisis

June 30, Fineko/abc.az. Rufat Hajiyev, chairman of the board of Association of Travel Agencies of Azerbaijan (ATAA), noted that currently travel companies are experiencing a crisis and are facing large financial losses due to the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19).

ABC.AZ reports that he made a relevant statement at an online meeting with representatives of Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL).

According to Hajiyev, most tour companies are dissatisfied with the fact that AZAL has been selling tickets only online since 18 June.

AZAL vice president Eldar Hajiyev noted that the main purpose of applying restrictions is to prevent the risk of spreading the virus.
