Expectations: Downward trend in oil demand to weaken

July 2, Fineko/abc.az. It is important to expand the OPEC+ format with the involvement of other key oil producers.

ABC.AZ reports that the above-said statement was made by Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov at an international conference.

The minister noted that in the 2nd half of the year the downward trend in the oil demand is expected to weaken: "But, unfortunately, given this uncertainty, it is impossible to say with certainty that demand will fully recover in the near future. According to various estimates, it will take at least 2 years to stabilize the oil market."
