15:45 - 22.01.2018

January 22, Fineko/abc.az. The Azerbaijan Tourism Association (AzTa) has determined itself with plans for the current year.

AzTa head Nahid Bagirov says that this year the Association plans work on changing the structure of the flow of tourists to the country, in which tourists from Russia, Georgia, Iran, Turkey and the UAE are leading.

"Additional growth in flow of tourists is expected in 2018, and the Association intends to contribute to promotion of country's tourism potential and attract tourists from other countries. In particular, we expect growth of tourists from Poland and Israel, as direct charter flights from these countries will be organized three times a week in the summer season," he said.

According to Bagirov, amid the growing demand the Tourism Association intends to negotiate with colleagues from India about negotiations on the beginning of direct flights.

The AzTA representation office will start operating in India from 30 December.
