Analytical agency Turstat has identified ski resorts of the CIS countries to be popular for travelers in the coming winter.

The ranking was made on the basis of analysis of early reservation data in online booking systems of tourism accommodation in winter season 2017-2018.

Shahdag is in Top 3 of the CIS countries’ best winter resorts. The first Top 10 also includes Tufandag located near Gabala district of Azerbaijan.

According to Turstat, winter holidays in ski resorts of the CIS countries usually last from 7 to 10 days.

Chimbulak (Kazakhstan), Shahdag (Azerbaijan), Silichy (Belarus), Tsaghkadzor (Armenia), Chimgan (Uzbekistan), Karakol (Kyrgyzstan), Logoisk (Belarus), Tufandag (Azerbaijan), Altai Alps (Kazakhstan) and Yakut mountains (Belarus) are in Top 10 of winter resorts for skiing and snowboarding, which are popular among Russian tourists.

The Russian tourists will find the cheapest winter vacation in Chimgan and the most expensive one in Chimbulak.

Travel budget vacation, including accommodation and meals, will cost an average of $90 per day in Shahdag and Tufandag, and more than $100 per day in Chimbulak.
