Smartphone market in Europe gradually shrinks

August 4, Fineko/abc.az. The coronavirus pandemic is having a negative impact on the European smartphone market, as in other spheres.

ABC.AZ reports that in the 2nd quarter of this year smartphone sales decreased by 24% compared with 2019.

According to Counterpoint Research, there is currently a 22% decrease in sales compared with the 1st quarter. It was also noted that a third of the European market (35%) is controlled by the Chinese. Despite the general situation, sales of Chinese brands such as Oppo and Xiaomi increased by 41% and 55%, respectively.
