August 5, Fineko/abc.az. In Oguz, an event with the participation of the Agency for the Development of Small & Medium-sized Businesses (KOBIA) has been organized in an institution created by a Japanese businessman.
ABC.AZ reports that the cultivation, supply and drying of tobacco is carried out in an enterprise based on foreign investments. Tobacco was planted on an area of 210 hectares located in the Oguz, Gabala and Tovuz districts, and 50 units of automated drying chambers for tobacco leaves were imported from European countries for drying the crop.
In 2020, it is planned to buy about 800 tons of tobacco.
A Japanese investor invested $2.2 million in the project. Currently, the company employs 150 people, more than 300 seasonal employees.
