August 6, Fineko/abc.az. The movement of electric trains via Baku-Khirdalan-Sumgait route will be suspended from 10 August to 10 November ABC.AZ was informed at the press service of Azerbaijan Railways (ADY) that during the reported term, electric trains will not move in the direction of Balajari and Khirdalan.

The suspension of train traffic is related to the expansion of the Baku-Sumgait road. The railway bridge, which is currently located on the territory of the Khirdalan Circle, prevents the continuation of these works. For this reason, a new single-span arch bridge will be built on the site of the old bridge.

During the construction of the bridge, passengers traveling from Sumgait to Baku and back will be able to use trains that travel along the Baku-Pirshagi-Sumgait route.
