Gazprom’s earnings from gas export halved

August 11, Fineko/abc.az. Gazprom's income from gas exports for Jan-Jun 2020 decreased by 51.2% to $11.3 bn versus the 2019 same term.

With reference to TASS, it is reported that this is stated in the materials of the Federal Customs Service (FCS) of Russia.

Physical gas exports for the reporting period fell by 17.8% to 91.1 bn cu m. In June gas exports amounted to 13.8 bn cu m (rise of 0.9% in monthly terms) for a total of $1.13 bn (13% less than in May).

In 2019 Gazprom delivered 199.2 bn cu m of gas to foreign countries (including to China), that is by 1.3% lower than for record 2018. Exports to neighboring countries in 2019 grew by 2.2% up to 37.7 bn cu m.

Currently, Gazprom exports gas from China via the Power of Siberia pipeline, which was commissioned in December 2019. Gas extracted from the Chayandinskoye field is transported through this pipeline.
