AZAL to sign contracts for purchase of six more Boeing before end of 2017

Baku hosts international conference Caspian Air Cargo Summit 2017.

During the conference Jahangir Asgarov, the president of Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) has stated that the Company intends to expand its aircraft fleet.

"Until the end of year AZAL will sign contracts for purchase of four more Boeing 787 Dreamliner" and two Boeing 747-8 F," Askerov said.

He pointed out that currently Azerbaijan's civil aviation has such aircrafts as Boeing 747, Boeing 787, Boeing 767, Airbus 340, Airbus 320, Airbus 319 and Embraer 190. A contract was also signed for purchase of 10 modern aircrafts, such as Boeing 737 MAX to be launched from 2018.
