Georgia has sharply reduced budget – about 4 bn lari

October 1, Fineko/abc.az. The budget of Georgia for 2021 will be reduced by 3.6 bn lari (compared with 2020) to 14.7 bn lari.

ABC.AZ reports that the Covid-19 pandemic is the cause of the reduction of the draft budget already submitted to the country's parliament.

Thus, because of the pandemic, the government increased budget revenues from 14.5 bn up to 18.4 bn lari in June 2020 at the expense of changes in the State Budget and new external obligations. Expenses will be reduced by 994 million lari to 11.56 bn lari.
